Eastern Washington values.

World-class experience

Thank you for visiting the Conroy for Congress 2024 campaign website. We are deeply grateful for and honored by the support of so many union members, veterans, active military, families, retirees, former national security professionals, and others who donated, volunteered, and/or cast their ballots for a brighter future for Eastern Washington.

While the results of the 2024 race did not go as hoped, it was remarkable how much our representative-elect stressed his intent to work in a bipartisan manner. His campaign promises included putting the interests of the people of Eastern Washington over party: opposing tariffs that would raise inflation and draw retaliatory measures against farmers; working to pass a quality Farm Bill; protecting Social Security; supporting Veterans; and refusing to use federal powers to restrict reproductive rights.

As a Spokane-based daily newspaper reported, prior to the primary his own party assessed him as “polished but not genuine. The same paper reported in early November 24 he said he would be a “team player” for the Republican Party.

We will be watching, and we are looking forward to 2026. If you have a Conroy for Congress yard sign, please hold onto it—we anticipate asking for your support in the future. If you have a 4’X4’ sign that’s too big for you to store, please email info@conroyforcongress.com for collection.

Thank you to everyone who knocked on doors, wrote postcards, hosted house parties, donated to our campaign, had conversations with family and neighbors, and cast your vote for progress.

Sincerely,

Team Conroy for Congress

“In our community, we see, firsthand, the value of hard work and the importance of neighbors supporting one another. The divisive politics of the other Washington doesn’t reflect our values, yet they affect us deeply. Far-right extremists in Congress are upending international order, failing families and farmers, and threatening our freedoms. I’ll prioritize everyday Washingtonians.”

– Carmela

As a third generation eastern Washingtonian, Carmela Conroy has a sense of duty and determination to serve her community.

Carmela’s grandfather was a union mason on the Grand Coulee Dam and her father was a union railroad worker with the Great Northern Railroad, later part of the BNSF. Carmela is a dues-paying member of the union representing U.S. Foreign Service personnel. Rooted in the hard work and resilience of her family, Carmela paid her way through college and law school, returning home to serve as a deputy prosecutor for Spokane County.

From her work in criminal justice to her service abroad, Carmela has built connections with veterans, active-duty military personnel, and professionals in national security. Our nation faces complex challenges both at home and abroad.

The dysfunction and partisan extremism in Congress have left critical issues unaddressed, from agricultural policy to national security to the well-being of our communities. As a representative, Carmela will prioritize the needs of Eastern Washington, advocating for agricultural support, affordable healthcare, and economic opportunities for working families. By investing in rural infrastructure, clean energy, and economic diversification, Carmela will work to strengthen our local economy.

The upcoming election carries profound significance for our fundamental freedoms, including the right to reproductive healthcare. Carmela will defend our rights and uphold our individual freedoms. She has the experience and the deep roots in our community to represent the values and concerns of hardworking families and farmers in Washington’s 5th Congressional District. With your support we can build a brighter future for Eastern Washington.
