For Washington State’s Fifth District

A region of strength. A moment of possibility. A movement ready to grow.

People in Eastern Washington work hard and look out for one another. They value steadiness, fairness, and leadership rooted in service. They want life to be more affordable, their communities safe, and dignity and stability for every generation. And they are tired of politicians who divide and deflect while real problems go unanswered. What they want is what they deserve:

An economy
that works for
Eastern Washington

Lower everyday costs. Support for families, new workers, small businesses and farms. Investment in housing, child care, education, and infrastructure

Safe communities
and a secure
nation

A commitment to public safety, community stability, and steady leadership abroad, informed by Carmela's service as both a county deputy prosecutor and a U.S. Foreign Service officer.

Dignity
and care
for all

Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security protections, lower health care costs, stronger rural hospitals, and veteran support.

and
accountability

A leader who listens first, works hard, brings people together, and focuses on real results.

For Washington State’s Fifth District

Shaped by service. Defined by courage. Ready to deliver real solutions.

Carmela Conroy is a third-generation Eastern Washingtonian shaped by hard work, responsibility, and service, inspired by a family legacy that taught her to show up for her community. After working her way through school, she returned home as a Spokane County deputy prosecutor, protecting families, standing up for victims, and learning that safety is personal, not partisan.

She later served in the U.S. Foreign Service across Afghanistan, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, and Washington, D.C., leading teams in high-pressure environments, managing crises, and earning national recognition, including one of the CIA’s highest civilian awards.

Team Eastern Washington reflects her commitment to steady, principled leadership and real problem-solving, and she is running for Congress to honor the region’s traditions and help every community in Eastern Washington reach its full potential.
